When Does The Odyssey Teaser Leaked?
It is claimed that the teaser was leaked after shown in the theaters in the United States. But, even before the teaser of ‘The Odyssey’ was shown in US theaters, it was leaked online on Tuesday afternoon. However, many of its videos were immediately removed due to copyright infringement.

What was shown in ‘The Odyssey Teaser’?
This 70-second teaser shows Matt Damon in the role of the main character Odysseus, along with his son Telemachus (played by Tom Holland) and a mysterious character of Jon Bernthal is also briefly shown. The teaser begins with a narration that sounds like the voice of Robert Pattinson, who plays an unnamed character.
“Darkness. The ears of Zeus torn to pieces. A kingdom without a king since my lord died,”
the voice says over scenes of a deep blue ocean and waves crashing on a sandy shore.
“He knew it was an unwinnable battle, and then somehow… somehow he won it.”
The teaser also shows two shots of the Trojan Horse, which was part of Odysseus’ famous plan to lure Greek soldiers into the city of Troy by hiding them inside a wooden horse. One shot shows the shadow of the wooden horse on the beach, while another shot shows the horse half-submerged in the water.
According to Homer’s original epic ‘Odyssey’, it takes Odysseus ten years to return home, during which time he encounters monsters such as the Cyclops, the nymph Calypso and various Greek gods.
Tense conversation between Telemachus and mysterious character
The teaser shows a tense conversation between Telemachus (Tom Holland) and Jon Bernthal’s character, in which Bernthal’s character knows nothing about Odysseus’ whereabouts.
“I don’t know anything about Odysseus, not since Troy,” Bernthal says, while a dark storm scene is shown in the background.
“I have to find out what happened to my father. When was the last time you saw him?” Holland replies.
A scene then follows where Bernthal and Holland stand facing each other, while other characters sit behind him in the light of dim orange flames.
“Interested in rumors, huh? Gossip. Who has a story about Odysseus, huh?” Bernthal yells to people standing in the background.
“You do? You have a story?”
A shot then shows Greek soldiers in armor marching down a city street at night with torches.
“One Year Later” – A hint at the film’s release date
The teaser shows “One Year Later” written in white letters on a black screen, hinting at the film’s 2026 release.
“Some say he’s rich, some say he’s poor,” Bernthal says, while a Greek soldier is shown emerging from a cave entrance with a sword.
“A journey begins” appears on the screen.
“Some say he was killed. Some say he was captured. What do you say?” Bernthal asks, while a tattered flag is seen fluttering in the background.
“Prison?” Telemachus asks.
“What prison? Well, the old man is like that,” Bernthal replies.
In the end, Odysseus is shown stranded on pieces of wood in the middle of the ocean, and the words “The Odyssey” and “17.07.26” (July 26, 2026) appear on the screen.
