Avengers Doomsday Cast: Six years ago, Avengers: Endgame made cinema history, now the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)’s most powerful superhero team is returning once again. Marvel Studios announced its star cast for Avengers: Doomsday during a grand livestream event, which includes major stars from the MCU as well as actors from 20th Century Fox’s X-Men Universe and the upcoming Fantastic Four. This upcoming Hollywood film will not only kick off the Avengers Doomsday Saga, but will also be a major step towards the Multiverse War.
Avengers Doomsday Cast – Old and New Heroes Together
Marvel revealed several big names in the Avengers Doomsday lineup, including major MCU stars like Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Letitia Wright (Black Panther). Apart from this, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon), and Winston Duke (M’Baku) will also be a part of this epic film.
However, some major names are missing in this Avengers Doomsday cast, such as Hollywood Star Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America). But according to reports, Evans may appear in at least one part of this two-part film series.
In the star cast of upcoming film Avengers Doomsday, Thunderbolts will also be seen playing significant role. Moreover stars such as Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Hollywood Star Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), and David Harbour (Red Guardian) and Wyatt Russell (US Agent) are also included. Adding more to this the veteran actors of the X-Men Universe i.e Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique) will also be the part of this film.
Famous character of Deadpool and Wolverine, Channing Tatum can also be a part of the Avengers Doomsday star cast. This is further going to make Marvel’s multiverse, making the Avengers Doomsday storyline even more full of Hollywood entertainment.
Fantastic Four debut
This time the Avengers Doomsday cast members includes the Fantastic Four’s Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), and Joseph Quinn (Human Torch). This team will surely make a significant contribution to the Avengers Doomsday Battle in the MCU.
Tenoch Huerta’s return – a surprise amid controversies
The return of Tenoch Huerta, who played Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, in Avengers Doomsday surprised everyone. Actually his return to the MCU was questioned after sexual misconduct allegations in June 2023, but Huerta called these allegations “false and baseless”. He may be selected for Avengers Doomsday villain cast or another important role, which could give a new twist to the film’s story.
Robert Downey Jr.’s grand return as Doctor Doom
Marvel’s biggest surprise is Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom. This was good news for fans who were in shock when during the announcements of Avengers: Doomsday at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July 2023, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr., left the role of Iron Man after Endgame. Doctor Doom is one of the most dangerous villains in the MCU.
Along with Downey’s return, the Russo Brothers are directing the Avengers Doomsday movie. Earlier they had left Marvel after Endgame. Kevin Feige had the idea of casting Downey in the role, and Downey himself played a key role in bringing the Russo Brothers back for the project.
Avengers Doomsday Release Date and Sequel Preparations
Avengers Doomsday release date is May 1, 2026 and its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars release date will be May 7, 2027. This two-part film will bring Marvel’s multiverse saga to a big climax.
The Russo Brothers recently revealed that managing the Avengers Doomsday characters is a big challenge. They use baseball cards to track each character, as they did during Infinity War and Endgame. According to Anthony Russo, “These cards now have magnets attached to them, so that we can put them on the board and understand the story better.”
